Oct 18, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a murky, nearly opaque medium orange color. The head was thin and white. Smelled of unripe banana, pale malt, and a splash of lemon. Medium bodied and dry with carbonation on the higher end of the scale. Very earthy and grainy flavors. I tasted dried leaves mixed with lemony dish soap, bark, and a bit of unripe banana. There was an odd grainy flavor and a hint of malt extractiness. Moderate bitterness lingered after the finish.
Pours a pretty hazy yellow color with a small head and good lace. The aroma has some hay and a light barnyard character with some stinky cheese and light fruity notes. The flavor is surprisingly dry and has some light citrus notes there is a playful funky flavor with a light tartness with some mineral oddness.
