Light golden color. Full forming foam that diminishes quickly into a thin layer. Nose completely dominated by diacetyl (major butterscotch.) A very light touch of toasted grain and some pine and lemon as well in the nose, but mostly nothing but diacetyl. Diacetyl continues on the palate. It even has the tell tale slickness on the tongue. Flavors of butterscotch and a tiny bit of hop character. Very hard to drink.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber with a large fizzy pillowey white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet bready malts, butterscotch and some citrus.

The flavor is slightly sweet bready/biscuity malts and caramel/toffee followed by a grassy, slightly piney hop finish with decent bitterness. As it warms, some butterscotch/diacetyl comes out. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK APA. I don’t really care for the biscuit and butterscotch notes though, and the hop flavor isn’t my favorite.

Bottle poured a clear copper with a lasting amber head. Aromas of earthiness, carmel, pine and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of earthiness, pine, carmel and light grapefruit with a smooth lingering moderatly bitter finish.

No diacetyl detected in my bottle.

Appearance is somewhat cloudy at first but clears as the beer warmed up. Good decent 2 finger white head that quickly went down to a small bead. Aroma is at first hoppy but then gives off a slight buttery smell. The diacetyl in this beer becomes more apparent as you go along. The taste is ok. Somewhat sweet but bitterness is there fighting along. This is not their best beer - Boxcar Brown and Twisted Creek Wheat are their strong beers. While I could finish this beer I’d probably pass on this for a second.

Light golden-copper. Thinnish head. Malts were toasty, with big caramel and butterscotch sweetness. Some toffee in the background. Plant-like bitterness in the finish. Some citric sourness in the finish and aftertaste. Overall, not necessarily bad, but pretty rough around the edges, with stark/bold flavors bouncing around haphazardly.
