The taps were quite warm this day so the beer initially poured almost entirely foam which took nearly seven minutes to settle. Rather lactic smelling, almost gueze like. Quite smooth on the palate with a bit of a spicy finish.

Dec 11, 2003 Medium orange color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is fruit, orange and malt. A medium bodied American Strong Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are spicy. Orange flavors throughout this beer. Nicely balanced. Very smooth. No alcohol bite at 8%. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Dec 7, 2003 Dark orange beer that builds a huge tan head with the consistency of whipped cream. Citrus nose.Medium body. I get slightly bitter orange coming at me when I taste this. One of the highlights of the fest for me.
