This is a nice looking pour: walnut brown with a 1’’ dirty white head. The flavor is dry with some chocolate notes and it has a nice roasty aroma. Very tasty. alexanderj (2271), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2008 On tap at Stone a little while ago. Dark brown with virtually no head. Aroma was very roasted with some coffee and light chocolate elements. Flavor was of coffee and roasted malt, with some chocolate and fruit presence. A really light palate that was almost watery. Flavor lingers for a while. Not much hop presence. Snojerk321 (2015), San Diego, California, USA

Dark fruits, oak and bourbon on the nose. Same on the flavor with an extra hint of vanilla, very smooth and creamy on the palate. iowaherkeye (1869), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2009 On tap @ Father’s Office L.A. Deep, deep brown with a 1 1/2 finger cinnamon head, very good retention. Aroma of lots of dark chocolate and roasted malts, some raisins behind with spicy alcohol. There is also a tinge of light pine. Flavor has a pretty strong burnt malt quality that turns ashy by the finish. Not too much sweetness noted, but a tinge of soy is. Bitterness peaked @ a 3 with some alcohol heat, and was dry. Light prickly carbonation with a medium-full body. Not too bad at all.
