Pours black with a small off white head. The aroma is of sweet tannic fruits, dark malts, and ligh tartness. The flavor was much of the same. Pretty nice tart sourness going on, but the blackberry flavors were quite prolific as well. The tartness did not drown out the fruity sweetness of it at all. Not a top tier sour, but definitely one, I could drink a few glasses of at a dinner if the pairing were right.

From tap at the Linkery. Pours black with a light orange glare and a lacing white head. Acidic and roasted malt flavour. Quity acidic to roasted maltflavour with a distinct roasted malt flavour mixed with an intense acidic and slight peachy fruity flvoured finish. Dry and acidic finish yet smooth.

At the Linkery, pours deep caramel with a halo of a cream colored head. Sour funk nose with some vinous influence. Flavor is more of tart cherries that is quite light and lacey on the palate.

On tap at Stone. Poured deeper coppery plum with just a light dusting of white head. The aroma was excellent!.. deeper dark fruit skins and vinegary tartness with underlying candi sugar and some dark Flemish-inspired yeasty backing.. came together quite nicely. The flavor found an interesting blend of chocolate and toffee laced with dry peppery yeast at the core.. sourness rose at the edges with dark fruit skins as the major player.. long, dry, sour finish.. tasty. Medium-bodied with low carbonation on the palate and building sourness.. challenging and enjoyable mouthfeel.

Stone Sourfest. Is this a porter with brett? Very interesting in a good way. Very drinkable.

Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Tart and acidic flavors after a somewhat sour aroma. Flavors held on to the tartness even through a somewhat roasted malt character. Pretty good.

Sampled at the Second Anual Stone Sour Festival on 7/20/2008. Very intersting sour malty flavors and aromas. Quite nice and enjoyable.
