goldtwins (3721), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 RBSG: Tap @ The Linkery. Poured a very dark brown color with a beige head. Great tart aroma with earthy caramel notes. The flavor is tart and acidic. Caramel malt flavors with leather and mild earthy notes. It was nice and sour and refreshing. Very drinkable and tasty. DA (2376), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 6, 2008 On tap at the Stone brewery. Pours dark mohogany with a thin tan head. Tart dark fruit nose, earthy and acidic. Finish has a blend of caramel and berries, the sweetness only temporary before the tartness takes over. Pretty solid beer, I hadn’t heard of this brewery before. mgumby10 (1624), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 6, 2008 Pours black with a small off white head. The aroma is of sweet tannic fruits, dark malts, and ligh tartness. The flavor was much of the same. Pretty nice tart sourness going on, but the blackberry flavors were quite prolific as well. The tartness did not drown out the fruity sweetness of it at all. Not a top tier sour, but definitely one, I could drink a few glasses of at a dinner if the pairing were right. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 From tap at the Linkery. Pours black with a light orange glare and a lacing white head. Acidic and roasted malt flavour. Quity acidic to roasted maltflavour with a distinct roasted malt flavour mixed with an intense acidic and slight peachy fruity flvoured finish. Dry and acidic finish yet smooth. AgentSteve (736), Livermore, California, USA Aug 5, 2008 At the Linkery, pours deep caramel with a halo of a cream colored head. Sour funk nose with some vinous influence. Flavor is more of tart cherries that is quite light and lacey on the palate.
