Commercial Description:
A Fool's Ale is an exotic tawny/amber coloured creation. This old world style is defined less by traditional beer categories than immortalizing character. A Fool's Ale has an alluring complexity of lightly toasted whole grain, fresh baked bread aromas. Its curious depth of layered flavour range from mild honeydew and sun ripened vanilla root to an earthy butter toffee. At 5.9%, this delicious addition to our beerlist is the Valley's own striped unicorn.

(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub. Asked the waitress what the seasonal is, she responded - "A Fool’s Ale. Its a wheat beer." My wife asked if its a hefeweizen. She commented she didn’t know what that is but A Fool’s Ale is a light, clear, wheat beer. Upon receiving it, one can immediately tell that its not a wheat beer. Pours a tan velvet head with a deep mahogany body. Nose of heavy toasted aromas and butterscotch ripple. Full roasted malt flavour, very buttery with a somewhat smooth malted finish. A good showing. Not a Summer beer. Not a wheat beer.
