Commercial Description:
A robust and flavourful ale, with the aromas of Goldings and Pacific Gem hops and a firm, malty body with an exceptionally clean finish. This ale is very similar to a Northern bitter in balance and palate. The name comes from the time when the English settlers lived mostly in Dublin, in an area called "The Pale". The area outside the Pale was where the Irish lived... hence the phrase "beyond the pale".

Pours a cloudy orange-yellow with a nice head & some lacing. I could hardly detect an aroma. Taste is full of hops! Sourish and wheaty notes, as well. Body is thick and creamy, overall I thought it was very interesting and I liked the opping. Not bad! Sampled at the GCBF.

(Draught) Sampled at WaaZuBee Café in Vancouver. Pours a thin, white frothy head with a light copper body. No carbonation. Rotten canteloupe and almost eggy nose. Fizzy peachy and an orange buttery flavour. tart hoppy and thin. Not as expected.

Copper coloured beer with a thin white head.Mild hops in the nose. The taste was a decent balance of malt and bitter hops. A pretty straightforward pint.

Chill hazed rich copper-coloured beer with a large creamy off-white head. Aroma is very malty and also shows nice lemon citrus notes and faint fruit/berry esters as well. Very well-hopped showing nice spicy character. Flavour is also quite citrusy and malty with a lasting bitterness. Well-balanced brew.

Body is dark amber with a creamy, off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma was moderately malty with a noticeable herbal and earthy smell. Flavour was a nice balance of hops, and malts with a long bitter finish. Texture was medium and dry with soft carbonation. An enjoyable bitter.
