For a while, afterward, things did indeed get off track for one of Ontario’s favourite indie lagers, as Molson foisted cheap malts upon the fine folks in Creemore, ON. I broke from Creemore Springs lager for a while (as did many, sadly), and returned just recently to find that much integrity has been restored to this wonderful beer. Pours a pleasing deep honey-gold with a fair head and nice lacing. Aroma is of rich, sweet malts. The flavor is back, if not more refined and consistent-tasting than the independant days. That of course means some of the old rough-hewn charm of this lager has vanished, but I believe a fair balance has been struck. Satisfying mouthfeel, and that reassuring feeling that you’re drinking something well-made. decimator (51), Ontario, Canada

Good foamy head but it didn’t last too long. Aroma of sweet malts and some hops. My first thought: It smells like beer. Taste has a good balance between the sweets malts and bitter hops. The mild bitter aftertaste has a bit of lasting power. Palate is very nice. Good carbonation, smooth and crisp with some creaminess and some stickiness. Flavorful and easy to drink. This is the first brew I’ve just had from Creemore Springs and I’m quite impressed. I will definitely be picking more of these up again in the near future. bulldogops (159), Alberta, Canada

Clear amber pour with a weak white foam, little retention, spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet malts and grains. Taste is quite good, mild sweetness and a smooth finish. Overall, a decent, but unexciting lager. JulienHuxley (234), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

Nothing unpleasant about this beer, very subtle malt nose, with just long enough a finish to be considered among the good lagers. Enjoyability goes up with every degree in outside temperature. bhensonb (4361), Woodland, California, USA

Just consider me geographically challenged! Pours an amber tinged gold with a multifinger off-white head. Strong noble aroma over pale malt. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Tastes mildly bready, and there’s a decent amount of hop. Not excessively bitter, but quite tasty. I like that it’s not pasteurized. Live beer is the best! Like this one. strowlands8 (87), Ontario, Canada

Probably my first choice at your average restaurant were good beer is hard to come by. Superb clean malt flavour, goes down easy with a nice mouthfeel and a slight malty aftertate. roder60 (1030), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice full flavored and body, crisp slight metallic flavor with hayish dry finish. Enjoyable but not great. Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2009 This....beer.....is.....AWESOME! To say the least... I’ve had it in the can, bottle, and on draught. The most important thing for everyone to know is that IT IS BEST ON DRAUGHT!!! Seriously, I wasn’t into this too much until I tried it on tap and I can say it’s one of my new local favourites. Lovely, clean golden colour with a fresh aroma of wheaty, malty, goodness. The taste was right up my alley; nice, yeasty and malty taste.
Most importantly: the palate. If you’re rating this with a poor palate, you probably haven’t had it on tap, or the tap is old as hell. This is one of the smoothest mouthfeels ever! You finish the beer without even noticing. Too good!
