Commercial Description:
The first pilsner was brewed in 1842, over a hundred years ago, in the Bohemian town of Plzen. Revolutionary at the time, it was a fired-brewed beer characterized by a rich golden colour, sweet malty flavour and an abundance of hops. Our brewmaster visited the Czech Republic to study their methods and in honour of our 20th anniversary we are proud to share his interpretation of this classic beer style. Similar to original pilsners, our direct fire brewing process and combination of specialty malts yield a beer with a deep golden colour and delicious malt flavours. Natural spring water creates a soft pure background on which Czech hops impart a fresh fragrant aroma and bitter finish.

Thanks MDS. Lively gold, fluffy white head. Nose is spicy/minty hops, honey, malt & hay. Flavor is hoppy honey, light caramel. Very hoppy finish with some grass.

Golden clear with mid sized foamy head. Aroma is grassy hops and some light bready malts. Thin and slightly sweet with the euro after taste. Not bad.

This newest addition to the creemore lineup is by far the best. The pour releases an almost copper body, with a head that is frothy, and long lived. Good lace here as well. The aroma is chalk full of floral sazz and dripping with fresh hay and grass, with some good grainy rye notes. Czech sipcy hops fill the mouth with flavour, floral flavours follow. Fresh cut grass, greens, hay, a touch of lemon zest. Very crisp fizzy finish, lots of fresh hops, good bitterness in the finish. I’d say this is a fine classic example. Some of these ratings seem to be bashing the pilsner style instead of embracing a very well made one.

Canette de 473 ml, acheté au LCBO à Ottawa (Rideau). Blonde assez claire, peu de collet. Légé arome de malte caramelisé, un peu sucré. Goût légé de miel malté, un peu sec avec des notes d’agrume.

Can - 473ml. Limpid golden body with average carbonation and a good white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, flowery and bready notes. Its sharp taste is clearly dominated by hoppy flavors. However, some nutty and malty hints are detectable. It ends with a decent bitter/hoppy finish. Well done Pilsner.

Clear. dark, gold w/ quickly dissipating off-white head. Mildly metallic hoppy aroma. Thick, creamy feel. Some grassy-graininess up front, w/ a dry, tobacco-like, bitter finish.

bright yellow/gold color. Nose is quite grainy, and grassy. Flavour is got a tinge of sweet malt, but i expected more. It’s kinda bland, i was expecting a bit more of a malt profile. A decent beer, but i’m still a little disapointed.
