Commercial Description:
The first pilsner was brewed in 1842, over a hundred years ago, in the Bohemian town of Plzen. Revolutionary at the time, it was a fired-brewed beer characterized by a rich golden colour, sweet malty flavour and an abundance of hops. Our brewmaster visited the Czech Republic to study their methods and in honour of our 20th anniversary we are proud to share his interpretation of this classic beer style. Similar to original pilsners, our direct fire brewing process and combination of specialty malts yield a beer with a deep golden colour and delicious malt flavours. Natural spring water creates a soft pure background on which Czech hops impart a fresh fragrant aroma and bitter finish.

Bottle- ours light golden, frothy head that goes quickly. Nose- bready malts and some hop spicyness. Taste- toasty bready malts, peperry saaz hops add a flowery finish. Finishes dry and herbal. Nice stuff actually.

473ml can - medium gold colour, nice foamy white head that dissipated quickly. Grassy/earthy Czech hops in the aroma - lightly floral hop nose. A bit of lemon. Flavour is crisp, and the malt backbone comes forward a bit more, the grainy hops coming forward towards the finish, leaving us with a solid sharp bitter note. Not an amazing pils and fairly standard, but decent nonetheless. The lager is still better I think, and I wish they’d have gone out more on a limb with this product.

This is quite a well balanced and, for the style, flavourful pilsener. Creemore has done quite a good job attempting their own Bohemian style pilsener. Very good all around.

341 mL bottle. Standard hoppy pilsner aroma with some malt, though a little flat. Nice golden colour, with a decent white head that disappears pretty quickly. Hop flavour with a clean finish without bitterness. A pretty good pilsner, though it fails to make what can be a boring style interesting like it’s lager counterpart. Good stuff though!

473 mL Can. Golden body with a small fizzy-foamy short-lived white head. Aroma of grassy hops, yeast, some malt sweetness, somewhat astringent. Sweet malt flavor with notes of citrus and overripe fruit, a hint of hard candy, a biscuit-like aftertaste followed with a hoppy finish that isn’t too overpowering. A good pick for a warm spring day.

473 ml can. Average pilsner with a slightly skunky aftter taste. I enjoyed this more than the origional creemore.

smell is very light, overripe fruit. its golden with a head that fades to nothing. taste is strangely fruity like plums and corny, taste of hard candy, slightly oily but medium bodied mouthfeel, its just.. strange tasting. definitely unlike any pilsner ive had. very cloying after a while with the sweetness and overripe fruit
