Bottle [12oz]. Pours a clear deep orange-copper with a small dininishing off-white head. Mild, sweet, malty aroma along with some light hops, dark fruit and a hint of nuts, chocolate and spices. Flavour of caramel malt, light hops, brown sugar sweetness, dark fruit and a light bitter finish. Slightly waterty. Average bodied. Just good.

Full, fluffy tan head. Brownish-red colour. Aromas of malt are lacking. But fair malt flavour on the palate. Full mouthfeel with some tinglyness on the finish. Overall mediocre. This was not terribly complex.

341 ml bottle in 6-pack from LCBO, served cool in a hotel rocks glass.

App.: Clear copper with a fair reddish-tan head. Aroma: Pleasant fruity malts, slightly woody and minty, some wet mash, a bit of peppery, leafy hops, a wee touch of peaty smoke maybe. Palate: Medium body and carbonation. Flav.: A fair hit of molasses and brown sugar, some dark dried fruits, light minty herbals, a touch of peppery hops, some caramel and toffee, a touch woody/vinous; almost dry with a touch of bitterness and a light burnt sugar finish.

Finally rated after many samples...

Bottle. Amber. The head disappears about as fast as possible. There is spice in the aroma, some molasses, clove, cinnamon, a hint of pumpkin. I taste some caramel, grape, pumpernickel.

Bottle courtesy of matt7215. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of chocolate, earthy, some peppery splashes. Tastes chocolatey and lightly bitter with a spicy finish.

I tried this beer after purchasing a 6 pack from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent dark red, with brownish hints, and little or no head. The aroma was sweet malt, with a hint of hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is sweet dark malt, some chocolatey tones, and a little hoppish bitterness.
