Light bronze appearance with a large, off white head and decent lacing. Subdued aroma helped by the caramel malts. Taste is toasted malt, with a mild, sweet flavor. Light-to-medium bodied, overly carbonated mouthfeel and a short lived finish. Nothing unique here.

Nice Dunkel tried on draft on site at the Crescent City Brewery in New Orleans. Flavors are malty and smooth. Hints of caramel.

Draught sample from brewpub. Sweet malty aroma. Light caramel and raisin. Bit of diacetyl. Smooth, sweet, mild. Hazy amber brown with thin off-white head. medium bodied with medium carbonation. Starts medium malty sweet with light toasted character and bit of raisin. Mild nutty bitterness towards the finish, dry mild sweet after.

Crescent City black forest 5-3-6-3-10 Sample Tasting - Brownish color good head. Sweet roasted malt notes. Sweet malt flavor, but kind of plain/flat. Mild hops finish. Medium bodied. I expected something different.
