Another no mouthfeel beer from Crescent City. Also, no hops but they aren’t necessary because there’s nothing to balance. Watery again Not red at all, no idea why they claim that. It’s not even copper, it’s like an ever so slightly ruddied yellow.

On Tap at Crescent City New Orleans Pours out a dark amber topped with a small white head. At first tast??? I was thinking this could have been a drink provided by the Horses that pull the carts down the street just outside. It would have made since to call it the Stallion. But after I had a few more drinks. I picked up some bitterness and a little malt. Still not very good to me.

Clear slightly-orange amber with a moderate off-white head. Musty mildew tainted aroma eclipses the faint caramel, offputting. Fairly unremarkable crystal malt palate, but overshadowed by the mildew taint. This was the same problem with the black forest. I politely pointed this out to the serving staff, and asked how often the lines were cleaned-- she didn’t know. Disappointing.

I really enjoyed this beer. Not as good as the black forest, but still really nice taste and really fresh. Nice head too! Glad to see the C.C.B. going strong in New Orleans!

An amber color with a rather large head. The aroma is rather subdue with a hint of caramel. The flavor is rather one dimensional and slightly malty with some caramel showing through. Overall this pretty dull as were most of the beers at Crescent City, but the food was good!

Nice color, good head, good flavor. Nothing extraordinary or special, but definitely worth sampling on a hot day in the French Quarter.

Pours a tan brown-slight ruby colour..Good Nice sized head..Light in aroma, but slight sweetness-maple syrup: great amount of bitters, good on the aftertaste, quite a nice smooth tasty brew outta this brewpub!

Draft. Decent lager. Good hoppy aroma with a nice red body. Flavor is well balanced and pretty tastey for the style. Good brew.
