Draught at Crescent City Brewery, New Orleans.
Clear light copper colored beer with a small head. Sweet and heavy malt and caramel aroma. Flavor is also sweet malty and caramelly with some bitterness in the end. Grassy notes. Soft and smooth.

On tap at the Crescent City Brewhouse which is the only place I know of where you can get their brews. "Red" is a misnomer. It’s more a brass/copper color. Thin quickly dissipating fizzy head. Surprisingly potent nose of malts, smells like fresh baked bread. Such a nice aroma that I sat there smelling it for awhile before tasting. Taste is hoppy and dry with subtle notes of nuts and spice. A rather complex and interesting taste for a Vienna. Mouthfeel is simply of water, but this beer compensates for that with really good well-rounded taste. Finish is short and moderately hoppy.

a very pretty, amber-colored vienna, with a good malt/hop balance in the nose. flavor is well balanced and nicely understated-this is not a "big" style. easy to drink, with enough going on to keep you interested.

Golden yellow with light, sweet malt aroma. Strong grain flavor/malty sweetness. Very nice bitter in the finish. Not as big as the Great Lakes, but a very well balanced beer.

Light amber in color with a small white lacing. Aroma of earthy hops. Moderately bitter with a nutty malt character.

Glowing light orange-amber. Toasty malt aroma over raisins. Grassy, green potatoes, seedy oktoberfest flavor. Lightly sweet and nutty. Finishes medium quick and lightly bitter and vegetable.. Session weight.

Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Smells of caramel. Tastes earthy and lightly toasty with a thin earthy finish.

I really enjoyed this beer. Not as good as the black forest, but still really nice taste and really fresh. Nice head too! Glad to see the C.C.B. going strong in New Orleans!
