| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 27, 2008 On tap at the Crescent City Brewhouse which is the only place I know of where you can get their brews. "Red" is a misnomer. It’s more a brass/copper color. Thin quickly dissipating fizzy head. Surprisingly potent nose of malts, smells like fresh baked bread. Such a nice aroma that I sat there smelling it for awhile before tasting. Taste is hoppy and dry with subtle notes of nuts and spice. A rather complex and interesting taste for a Vienna. Mouthfeel is simply of water, but this beer compensates for that with really good well-rounded taste. Finish is short and moderately hoppy. irishsnake (353), Oakland, California, USA
