I really enjoyed this beer. Not as good as the black forest, but still really nice taste and really fresh. Nice head too! Glad to see the C.C.B. going strong in New Orleans!

I sampled this beer on tap at the brewpub in New Orleans. The beer had a hazy amber color with a smaller white head with short retention. The beer had a caramel malt aroma with some light grainy hops too. It had a mostly sweet, lighter grainy malt flavor with just a bit of bitter effects. The beer had average carbonation was a bit thin and had a modest finish and mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewhouse. Amber color with malts and caramel in the aroma and flavor. Slightly grainy with a touch of fruitiness. Not a bad amber.

Draft. Amber pour with minimal white head. Nose was minimal, flavor was hoppy. I couldn’t find the malts that others have mentioned. Just felt a little watery.

Light copper body, small beige head. Aroma is not very apparent. Flavor is mostly malty with a twinge of hops; not much going on here. Passable but not memorable in any way.
