Neutral aroma, completely lacking all fruity esters. Medium body with a vague tartness and absolutely no fruit. Instead you get some fusty accents. A good Hefe is hard to brew - Crescent City misses by far. 270306 hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

The nose is full of banana and bubblegum with hints of lemon and sourdough. Very well-balanced, tangy, refreshing flavor. Underripe banana. Light-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Medium-length, tart and tangy finish. Their best offering! jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2003 Looked like orange juice, without the pulp. HUGE banana sweetness in the flavor and aroma; clove follows closely behind. Smooth and soft on the tongue with a mild carbonation. Very light bitterness attempts to complement the sweetness. Overall, a rather tasty beer. DuffMan (2757), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2007 This and the pilsener were the only untainted beers of the night. I was surprised to see this noted as a german hefe, as it came across as a nicely made American-style wheat. Hazy, pale straw in appearance with a big foamy white head. Wheaty with a mild citrus note and a slightly tangy finish. Refreshing and very nice (for an American wheat, but misses the mark as a hefe). Aurelius (2648), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 14, 2005 Very light aroma dominated by banana. Hazy. Belgian-style yeast flavor, over a prominent though indistinct fruit. Moderately sweet, fizzy, nice bittering. Body goes a little watery after an initial good mouthfeel.
