A bit of head on a light colour. A bit of malt in aroma, the alcohol is not noticeable. Not much in taste, but also not offensive. Light mouhfeel.

500 mL can: You know, I used to buy this stuff if there was no Giraffe on hand (a stomachable 8.3%). This is a strong lager whose alcohol content will knock you over & overwhelm all taste. Stick with the Giraffe or a strong Belgian.

Switched from 10% to 8.4% in 2003? Strange, I just bought a 10% can in 2007. Anyways, I bought this because there was no more Faxe Extra Strong on the shelves. Bad move on my part. It pouted just like the average malt liquor, a foamy head that didn’t last. Aroma of copper and other metals with a hint of alcohol (maybe a bit of hops?). The taste was basically just a strong copper mineral water that was slightly foul. Strangely enough, when I started on my second can it tasted fairly different (it was only a bit warmer), but this time it was even more foul with the taste of metal, blood, and vomit. Not much of an alcoholic taste that you would expect from 10%, but still fairly strong. Not a good strong lager to drink unles if it’s ice cold.

Can, 10%. Metal aroma, but almost OK. Clear golden colour. Nice stable white head. Very peppery flavour. Not sweet like many ESLs.

On tap, in Rome, Italy, in october/2004. Its alcohol is very present in the palate. I didn´t like it.

Can. (10% ABV version)Clear, straw with a small white head. Sweet nose with malt and notes of hay and grain. It has a sweet and malty flavor with alcohol. A bit grainy maybe. Thin to medium, warming mouthfeel. A decent beer, regarding the alcohol level. I still don’t see the meaning of these beers. (070331)

Can. Golden colour with a bubbly short whte head. Sweet aroma of some mashed corn. Surprisingly soft flavour, corn with a good alcohol touch to it. Bitter finish.
