A little indian shop still sells the 10% version. I like it. At £1.10 for 0.5 Litre it is value for hard earned money! As a tap beer it would cause quite a kerfuffle. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Well it smells like a lager, it tastes like a lager and it finishes like a lager, but with some hot alcohol noticeable. I really do have a soft spot for these European strong lagers and this fits into that category perfectly. Slightly creamy aroma with a touch of citrus hops. Fine in mouth, some of that alcohol is clearly present and then some quite tasty citrus hop on end. I’ve had worse. Carbonation is fine and not overly metallic. Super. Very active carbonation. Aroma of bruised apples and straw. Flavour of alcohol and sweetness. Get the hops when I burp. This beer really only has one purpose. beerledgend (919), Waterloo, Wellington, New Zealand

All-swill minitasting #2 - after the horrific Bavaria 8.6, can this really be worse? Very pale gold, ugly large fizzy white quick-dropping head - looks just like the Bavaria. Unpleasant dry grainy/rice alcohol harsh aroma, but at least it’s GRAINy - just poor, not ugly. Tastes just like it smells - cheap grain, dead UK hops, way too much booze - and the booze doesn’t go away ... I wish the whole thing would go away, nasty aftertaste. Watery, lively yet mostly dead mouthfeel, primary charcter is cheap booze, slightly sticky - an ugly beer for getting you legless quick - but there’s a real beer underneath the forced booze; not a good one, but it’s beer. ogivlado (3088), Zagreb, Croatia
