Alcohol is well hidden. Lot’s of carbonation. Too easy to drink for 10%! MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Despite what Myke says, and I respect his opinions, either this is a far better beer than he rates it or I’m a rubby (must be a Canuck term, eh?). Head was white and foamy but nothing remarkable, sweet bugger all in the way of lacing; aroma was oddly almost nil given the "grunt" of this stuff. Colour was unfortunately urine-like. Taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste were far better. Look for me chugging down one of these next time you’re in back of Victoria Station (or any other Brit lush hangout). | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 22, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) 10% ABV version. Pretty, fully golden colour - bordering amber. Very fizzy, almost noisy when poured, but the head remains pretty much absent. Full-bodied and potent, but surprisingly the alcohol is not THAT prominent. Perhaps the added German aroma hops draw some of the attention away from the booze. Not bad for a European Strong. 040400 caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

Bit malty and grainy taste. I didn’t expect it to be rated this bad actually. Maybe, because it was from tap that it’s much better? beerledgend (919), Waterloo, Wellington, New Zealand

Aroma of fruit and cough drops, and the flavour is definitely on the medical side as well. All right for a high strength lager, but nothing for slow sipping. Vodka aftertaste. rickgordon (3337), Göteborg, Sweden

Golden colour. Diacetyl nose. Flavour is malty but one dimensional, no off flavours though. Slight alco feel. Notes of melon/exotic fruits. No bitterness. Medium bodied. LeopardMan (53), New Zealand
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 19, 2006 Served in a lager glass. Fairly average white head poured with noticeable fizzing. A lightly cloudy yellow. Aroma and flavour are fairly average considering the alcohol content which I’d expected to burn more than it did. I’d agree with Papsoe re: the hops making the 10% ABV less obvious. Nice enough bitterness in the finish. An efficient alcohol delivery device. Wish it wasn’t so expensive here.
