Commercial Description:
Cricket Hill American Ale is an easy drinking “amber” ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.

Nice reviews here but this one didn’t particularly strike my fancy. Picked this up in the liquor store at Penn Station Newark of all places. Was going to drink it on the train into New York but forgot. Poued a semi clear amber colour with ann off whiteh ead. Some decent hoppage going on. Floral, soft and piney with some fruitforwardness to it. Semi sweet undertones, particuarly some caramel and red apple. Other then that pretty average amber.

12oz. Darker then I was expecting, with a red hue too. Cascade hops are strong in both aroma and flavor. Quite a lot of malt flavor to balance out the hops, very flavorful. Yay beer!

Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with no head, some white lacing. Aroma is slight sweet hop. Taste is smooth, slight caramel sweet malt, and mild hop flavor.

Bottle thanks to mark. Amber pour. Tried to make this cold with a frozen pint glass, however just wasn’t enough to make room temperature beer cold enough. Aroma is light, slight malt and hop character. Flavor is slight caramel malt, and minimal hop. East drink but not much else.

Bottle, from LilBeerDoctor. Amber color, hoppy, piney aroma. Flavor was fairly hoppy, like an IPA-lite. The hop profile is not my thing - kinda harsh, kinda musty. Hard to explain, but somethings a little off here. Not bad, not great.

bottle poured a light amber color with an off white head that was rather tame. aroma has caramel, light fruit, grass, and a touch of bitter side hops. medium mouth feel with light side carbonation. nice caramel flavors, light sweetness, bitter hops, a little flowery, and finishes with bitterness but not dry.

12 oz bottle. Pours a light amber color with a small white head. Nose has some sweet notes as well as some citrus notes. Unremarkable palate. Average in body and carbonation. Flavor is a nicely balanced mix of sweet malt and citrus hops. Quite drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a small ring of white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, sweet fruits, raisin, and a touch of vegetal notes. Flavor of caramel malt and some tropical fruits and other light fruits, sweet tart candies. Nothing too special, but it’s a pretty decent amber ale. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)
