Commercial Description:
Cricket Hill American Ale is an easy drinking “amber” ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.

Bottle. Aroma of sweet, caramel malt, French baguette, floral hops. Flavor continues to be quite sweet with the caramel malt, very dessert-like, like a cake smothered in thick, caramel drizzle, with flower petal hop notes keeping things reasonably in balance. Fairly dry finish despite the sweet flavor. Seems I like this more than most.

bottle. sampled 1/12/08. Pours a clear light amber reddish-orange with a middling thin head. Aromas of cut grass, flowers, and some wet bread. Flavor shows balance with little excitement; medium bitterness up front, some light floral hop notes, smooth bready caramel malts, and some light notes of peppery spice. Smooth even mouthfeel with a crisp finish. Decent, though not especially interesting.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. The aroma is light with hints of sweet malt. The flavor is also on the light side, even for an amber ale. Smeet malt and hints of floral hops. Balanced and drinkable.

Bottle from jah noth. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, cookie, caramel), light hops (flowers), average yeast (dough) with notes of apple, oranges, candy, and pear. Medium bodied, oily texture, average carbonation and an astringent finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Pours copper with gold edges. The aroma is corn, sweet malts and hints of vague hops. The taste has a pulse of pine hops moving into corn, sweet malts and floral hops. The floral and pine hops both usher this thing into the finish. Tastes better than it smells.

(bottle - 12 oz) Copper in color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet malts, light corn, and some dried hops. Flavor is a lot of bitter hops at the beginning followed by a slightly sour and dry middle. Finishes with a touch of sweetness and some dry bitterness on the palate.

Thanks retorp for the share. Pours orange-amber with an off-white head. Nose is malt, corn, & hops. Flavor is malt and a twinge of hops. Interesting, but not amazing.

Bottle. Pours crystal clear copper/gold with a pretty decent head. Medium/light body, not too fizzy. Definitely a sessions beer. Not too hoppy, but what’s there is grassy. Bready, grainy malt backbone. Balanced, drinkable, somewhat forgettable.
