Commercial Description:
Cricket Hill American Ale is an easy drinking “amber” ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for this beer. An amber pour with white head and lace. Aroma of caramel and light hops. Flavor is semi sweet and a bit of a hoppy finish. Carbonation and palate are the strongest point for this beer. A beer that is best drank fresh and is pretty solid all round.

Nice copper pour. Very clean, bright aroma and flavor. Grainy, straw-y character. Not bad at all.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one. Clear, light amber body with a thin white head. Musky earthy aroma, some malt comes through. No real malt sweetness nor hop bitterness in the flavor. Thin, watery, disappointing.

Nice shade of amber body with a light ruby tint and a soapy tan head atop the beer. Aroma of cardboard, pale malt, light german hops and a short caster sugar sweetness. Medium-bodied; Short hoppiness up front that fades real quick to another short malty flavour with little else hidden behind that taste. Aftertaste shows some caramel and toffee but really - nothing is left on the palate. Overall, this one is good for those who like good looking and a decent initial taste with no aftertaste at all. Perfect for a party or if you want to drink a lot of beer without tasting it much. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 19-November-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

From the brewery itself last friday night. Very light amber more of a copper with a very nice fluffy white head. Aroma is somewhat delicate as nothing really jumps out at you. A very nice balance of hops and malt aroma. Flavor is mostly light caramel with hints of floral hops in the background. Very clean tasting and quaffable. My friend says," like yueng ling on steriods!" Great beer, also I must say if you;ve had it, you’re probably from the area, if your from the area, check out the free brewery "tour" every friday starting after 5pm. Great time!

Bottle. Pours a light amber in color with a rapidly diminishing white head. The aroma is strong on citrus with a bit of a flat hop character to it. The flavor is of light hoppiness, a bit of citrus with a dry straw finish. The overall feel of this beer is light yet well rounded, hoppy but well balanced with an even amout of maltiness. Very refreshing.

Bottle. Pours medium red with a disappearing white head. Aroma of hops with some citrus. Flavor is of malt, caramel with a touch of fruit most noticeable citrus. The hops come in toward the end which provide a decent bitterness. I enjoyed this brew. Not just because it’s a local brewery but this is an easy drinking Amber Ale that provides a nice balance of flavor.
