Commercial Description:
Cricket Hill American Ale is an easy drinking “amber” ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.

Draft at Which Brew. Decent aroma. Nothing on this brew stands out but is well balanced with decent taste. Slight citrus notes. Very drinkable and not as bitter as others made it seem to be.

Amber hued with a floral, mildly citrus aroma. Medium bodied, fairly well balanced and decently carbonated. A well crafted session beer with few distinguishing attributes.

Re-rate, KSBF07 on draft: Definitely not as bitter as my previous experience, probably evolving taste buds more than anything. More refreshing, good hop and malt balance, golden colored pour. Original rating: Too simple to speak more highly of, but decent. Wow, this one was darned bitter, no joke. The pour was orange-copper with a huge head and very good lacing all the way down. The aroma was herbal hoppy, lightly bready, somewhat oxidized. The flavor was strong herbal and resinous hops, stale broad leafy greens, and one year old sun-dried orange rinds, really quite bitter (do they put old trash in this brew?). The finish was somewhat tart, really bitter, moreso than an IPA. And man, not until 10mins after drinking the last sip did I find anything close to caramel and light bread underneath. The old saying that the only difference between Jersey girls and Jersey trash is that the girls sometimes get picked up.... boy, throw this in a trash can and I’d settle for the girl. Not a fan here.

on tap at Tierney’s in Montclair NJ. light amber gold clear color, light tan medium foamy head. aroma is hoppy, some honeyish caramel malt, a little sour milk. flavor is hoppy bitter but not too high on the IBU scale, rounded out with some malty sweetness like simple sugar syrup. probly one of the closest taps from the brewery.

Nice easy drinking beer. Unfortunately the brew was changed slightly from the previous recipe (which I thought was better). However, this beer is always fresh with a mild citrus flavor and seldom tastes oxidized like so many others. Overall an excellent brew at a very reasonable price.

Pours amber with a white head. Smells very citrussy with some rosey notes. Taste is peppery with some citrus and chocolate notes.
