Dec 31, 2005 Bottle. Funky citrus orange sweet aroma with lots of roasted maltiness and some caramel present. Transparent copper color with a small off white head. A bit sweet, citrusy to start with some sugariness. Roasty toasted malts to finish. With more of the watery, citrus notes blending in. Muddled flavors. I also get some mintiness in the finish. This is just a strange strange meld of flavors that really has no direction.

Dec 18, 2005 Pleasantly tart citrus-grapefruit hop nose with a sweet, round caramelly malt character. Clear burnished copper coloured body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled white head that recedes to cover with some lace. Caramel malts are thick and sweet with herbal, citrus hop flavours and medium bitterness. Medium light body with fair cabonation. Sampled at Kennett Square Brewfest 2005.

Nov 24, 2005 Sadly, this was more bitter than I’d have liked. Plenty of malt backbone. I just shouldn’t have ordered it, as this style of beer isn’t to my liking.

Nov 10, 2005 Pours a golden amber/ weak tea color.Monstrous, buttercream head of bubbles, very thick. Aroma is hop centric, both tart and floral and spicy.Taste is sugary caramel with a large hop sizzle, pine, roasted coffee, overall good.

Oct 7, 2005 Now in DC (12 oz bottle) - Clear sparkling amber, thick creamy lightly tanned head. Great lacing all the way through. The nose was a nice blend of toasted grains, florals, and touches of toffee. Flavor was similar with floral hops and caramel malt balancing each other to near perfection. Full bodied, soft smooth carbonation, bittersweet finish. Very easy to drink, perfect for quantity sessions, and not nearly as bad as the score would indicate.

Oct 5, 2005 12oz bottle via trade with Lou18 - Thanks Lou! - Pours amber with a nice sudsy offwhite head that stays well and laces. Aroma is floral/citrus hops and sweet caramel malts. Flavor is caramel and nice toffee sweetness. Finished by a bit of citrus hops. Palate is medium bodied and carbonated about right. This is a nice beer. I enjoyed it.

Oct 4, 2005 amber orange, perhaps a touch hazy, with a fluffy white head. sweet citrus and malt aromas. mild bitterness followed by perfect malt. finishes long and balanced between malt and hops, with floral and grapefruit notes. nice body, too.
