heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jul 6, 2009 Sampled at Noogfest High 5. The body was dark brown with some copper at the edges. The aroma was strong bourbon with some cherries. The taste was strong bourbon with some vanilla. There was also some milk chocolate. A little sweet. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Jun 28, 2009 Sampled at Noogfest. Pours a lot like cola. The aroma is chocolatey, like brownies with a very wooden bourbon character. Hm. The palate is quite thin with very low carbonation. The flavor is good initially with a reasonable level of vanilla, nuts, and dark chocolate, but this is really watery. The finish is very quick. I would have liked this much more had the mouthfeel been a notch fuller and the flavor a bit more robust. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA May 25, 2009 Thanks jcwattsrugger for the share. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is chocolate, roast, malt, raisin, dark fruit, and some of the barreled notes. Flavor is similar with very light bourbon and oak. Best Cricket Hill Beer I have had. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA May 24, 2009 Bottle, courtesy jcwattsrugger. Dark brownish body, thin tan head, minimal lacing.
