Aug 15, 2008 Cask gravity from GBBF 08. Hazy amber. No head. Is it an alt? No not really. Too much American hop. Little bit of sourness.

Aug 14, 2008 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - GBBF 2008. A copper coloured beer with some whitish bubbles for a head. This is a nicely hoppy beer with citrus and pine notes. Just a touch of woodiness sets it apart from being an APA. I liked this a lot.

Aug 12, 2008 12 oz bottle jcwattsrugger was kind enough to let me steal at the Richmond Summer Gathering. Labeled as "Colonel Blides Cask Ale". Hazy amber with a beige head. Sweet caramel and citrus (tangerine?) nose. Nice earthy flavors, floral bite, caramel and citrus. Fairly clean, lightly bitter finish. Nice.

Aug 11, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, hops, some mild notes of wood and malts. Flavour is wood, saltwater, earth mild grassy hops as well as mild caramel.

Aug 7, 2008 Amber color with a mildly hoppy aroma that has some light sweetness in there. Flavor is quite hoppy - floral and citrus, with some bready sweetness at the end. Decent Altbier.
