Bottle at Noogfest Four-O. Pours orange gold with tiny white head. The aroma is buttery hops with some orangey notes. Flavor is bread and caramel malts with some lemony hops and a bit of a tanginess. Ok.

Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This altbier pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel and sweet. A med bodied alt. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are mild and slightly spicy. Nice balance. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

12oz bottle sampled at Noog4 thanks to JCWatts. This is a barrel aged version if I understood correctly. Amber pour (though it leans more towards orange I suppose) with wispy lace. Musty subdued fruit with a touch of wood. In fact upon tasting, all you get is wood. That is the primary flavor with barely noticeable fruit and hop notes. Medium semi-dry mouth feel. It did not do it for me.

Poured a copper color with a large white head. Malty caramel aroma with a light citrus hop note. The flavor had a malty start with ca citrus and earthy hop middle. Moderately bitter finish.
