Commercial Description:
The East Coast Lager is an easy drinking “golden” lager with a wonderful balance of crisp malt flavors and flowery hop finish. Built specifically with very low bitter aftertaste, the aroma is as clean as the taste. A difficult beer to brew because of the gentleness… this beer is magnificent!

Gold, thin white head. Musty, earthy aroma. Surprisingly bitter up front - kind of woodsy - followed bu a definative cereal flavor. Finishes clean. Nicely drinkable with enough bitterness to keep it interesting.

02.12.05 12oz bottle. This lonely bottle was on the sparse singles rack, so I took the chance. About as expected: pale yellowish gold pour with sudsy white head that fades. Pleasant aromas of french bread, light lemongrass, some wet paper. Flavors are very mild with only a slight grassy character and some corn. Finishes without event. Not a beer I’d seek out, but would do for washing down a burger.

bottle from lmgraz1. pours a clear pale yellow. a delightful light lager. similiar to a pale German weise beer but this has a slight dry hoppy finish. this would make a great summertime thirst quencher. Thanks Lou.

Bottle. Golden amber color. Minimal white head that fades out and leaves no lacing. Cornish aroma, light hop scents also. Fairly crisp. Uninspired flavor, light hop finish. Fair. Thanks Lou!

bottle from lmgraz1, clear pale amber pour with basically no head, Different label from the one pictured...I like the one I have better. Mild hoppy nose, with some malts evident also. Corn flavor to start...a little hoppiness in the middle, finally finishing with some maltiness to finish. This is a basic lager and not very distinguishing. Maybe if they added a bit of citrus to brighten this up it would take off...just a thought.

lmgraz1 is my hookup for this one, which pours a golden tone, with light white head, that is pretty thin. Nose is pretty light as well, with some hop tones. Body is very crisp, the hops come out at the very end of the flavor, but not to the extent that they make the tail bitter. Top end of the taste is almost sweet, but again, it is very well balanced. This was the last of my CHBC brews, and I enjoyed every ounce of their brews.

Very smooth, very clean and delicious. It’s not overly hopped like so many beers today and contains no rice or corn or other adjuncts that make beers taste watery.

They aim for the cross over point, from the mass produce to carft. considering, this is a highly drinkable larger. Rick is a great brewer, Try this,.
