Commercial Description:
The East Coast Lager is an easy drinking “golden” lager with a wonderful balance of crisp malt flavors and flowery hop finish. Built specifically with very low bitter aftertaste, the aroma is as clean as the taste. A difficult beer to brew because of the gentleness… this beer is magnificent!

thanks to jcwattsrugger for sharing at noogfest 2008. I’m sour, but this was truly awful. Sour, I had to dump it

thanks to jcwattsrugger for this one. Aroma of corn dominates but has hints of maltiness in there as well. Pours a golden clear. Flavor is cornish as well with some an almost straw or hay flavor. Medium palate for the style and a tad on the foamy side. Not the best PL I’ve had but not the worst. In my book it is very drinkable if your gonna drink a PL.

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was sweet with small hops. The flavor was easy drinking with not much aftertaste. No much flavor. Overall, refreshing and easy to drink.

75th rating for this brew, and my personal 25th from Jersey. I’m beginning to like this brewery. Bottle. Sweet floral hops nose, malty. Pale, pale golden pour with a soapy off-beige head. Taste is lightly sweet, touch of grass and honeyed bread, citrus and light hops in the bg, but there’s a slight (non-grainy) )off-note. Low bitterness. Crisp body but not harsh, light but not too watery. Nice soft malts. Clean and gentle, refreshing and harmless; yes indeed one of the East Coast’s best lagers - which is actually saying something!

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale gold, with a very fluffy white head, and soapy, sticky lacing. Aroma has some cider notes, very distant chocolate, grainy malt, and a light hoppiness. Flat malts in the flavor, slight starch, very distant smoke. Crisp, easy drinking. Expected worse from this.

Slightly pale golden coloured body with a medium sized dense white head. Aroma of cardboard, light skunks, some fresh hops and a stale lemon scent. Light-bodied; Sharp taste of fresh hops along with some nice pale malt. Aftertaste showcases the bitter hops along with a faint sweetness, mainly from the citrus. Overall, a nice lager that would be great in the summertime, but I’m sampling this thing near the beginning of Winter. Good to try if you can find it! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 28-November-2005.

KSBF07. Poured a light golden color small head. Aroma was all grainy malts. Flavor was much the some with some sticky caramel in there. Some off flavoring which i couldn’t figure out. Bad brew.

KSBF07. Color was godlen, small head, diminished quickly. Aroma was primarily grainy malts, light breadiness. The flavor was grainy malts, bready, sweet caramel, a touch of corn-adjunct type stickiness/sweetness in the finish. Not so good, not as bad as BMC.
