| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Sparkling gold, thin fizzy white head. Just not a ton going on here with a very light nose of floral hops and nutty caramel. Flavor was similar, but at least it was decently balanced. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-bitter, floral-like finish. Disappointing...

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Mild aroma of spicy and citrusy hops. Weak flavor of spicy and citrusy hops with a bitter finish. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2005 The Lure: Muted citrusy hops amidst permuted soapy gooseberries. Too quiet to be heard properly, interest will be lost soon if something else doesn’t happen.
The Festivities: A mixture of citrus fruit joins the wooden resin fixture. The bitterness inherited is merited, and lightly creamy, bready malts meticulous. An intense quencher, performing its role efficiently.
Transcendence: A faithful horse. Twentys (41), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 10, 2005 Bought a case in East Stroudsburg, PA, finally on last bottle. Smells like a brewery, more malty than citrus. Looks great, nice orange glow. Not much of a typical American IPA taste. Very mild hops, mild fruitiness, more malty than usual. Still very drinkable, but bland. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2005 12oz bottle via trade with Lou18 - Thanks Lou! Pours cloudy amber with very little head. Aroma of light malts and a little grapefruit. Taste is about the same nothing bold at all about this. Palate is light and rather watery. A below average IPA in my opinion. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 27, 2005 Drank it right from the bottle. Not a bad beer to drink but far from an IPA, almost tasted like a white wine. There were faint scents of hops on the nose, the tastes was the same. With a name like Hopnotic this beer should knocks you taste buds off and shrivel your tongue with hops and citrus sensations. It was just your typical mild-ale. It brought nothing to the table but a bitter finish and a Pale Ale characteristic. Must be the Jersey swill? shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA
