Commercial Description:
No mere beverage could satisfy the thirst of the courageous and gallant soldiers who stood guard over the colonies of the British Empire. Their thirst could only be quenched by a full-bodied hearty Ale; an Ale balanced with rich flavorful hops. We are proud to offer our interpretation of this English style India Pale Ale for those who loong for the time when once your duty was complete, the taste of a fine Ale was reward enough for a job well done.

On draught at McGrady’s, Aroma very piney and citric. Arrived to me yellow with a foamy head. Taste was hoppy alright, very piney, citric and floral. Definitely a punch in the mouth. Dry bitter finish. Overall, IMO not one of the better IPA’s I’ve had.

Poured effervescent yellow with an off-white head. Aroma of herbal hops, though somewhat sknuky. Taste is one-dimensionally hoppy, not a whole lot else, leving a bitter dry finish. Ok, but nothing to write home about.

At NJ Craft Brew Fest 2005: A decent IPA that was not overpowering. A good intro to the style that any beer lover could enjoy.

12 oz bottle-pours a thin white head, light amber color. Mild aroma. Drinking this beer has a bit of a thick feel, taste is hoppy with a nice alcohol bite. Mild in class is how the brewer describes their beers, and I would agree with this one. rerate-@GBof A-PA-on tap

Taste is both grassy and citrusy. However, while bitter, the bitterness isn’t the hop bite that I look for in an IPA. Biting and a little acidic, not horrible but there’s definitely much better IPA’s out there.

Pours a light gold with a fluffy sticky white head. Aroma is very grassy, some citrus and a bit of earthiness. A nice blend between an amerian and english IPA. Use of challenger, warrior (sometimes simcoe) and dry hop of East kent goldings makes for a nice and unique combination. Balanced slightly by a very light crystal or carapils sweetness. Easy drinking IPA.

Bottle at Spring Brewtopia 2005... Clear, yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Floral and citrusy nose. Decent malt profile with metallic, moderately bitter hops. Medium-bodied and creamy with fizzy carbonation. Crisp, medium bitter finish. Ends up dry and grassy.
