Commercial Description:
No mere beverage could satisfy the thirst of the courageous and gallant soldiers who stood guard over the colonies of the British Empire. Their thirst could only be quenched by a full-bodied hearty Ale; an Ale balanced with rich flavorful hops. We are proud to offer our interpretation of this English style India Pale Ale for those who loong for the time when once your duty was complete, the taste of a fine Ale was reward enough for a job well done.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light copper color with a light off white head and some lacing. Aroma is mild, a bit of citrusy hoppiness, malts, and a little bit of skunk. Light to medium bodied. Finishes bitter. Fairly crisp. Nothing remarkable.

12oz bottle. OK but pretty average beer. Not one of the better IPAs out there. Taste is somewhat on the bland side.

One-third pint, gravicask at GBBF 09. Clear copper body colour, naked surface. Floral hops to the nose. Taste of fresh fruits mixed with spiced, late fruits. Hints of figs. Some yeasty notes without dominating the mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Quite alright (Earls Court, 04.08.2009).

Bottle. Clear copper pour with tight white head. Aromas of hops, pine, and cereal. Flavors of hops with citrusy grapefruit notes, pine, bready and yeasty notes. Nice hop bite up front but fades into a pool water like finish with some lingering bitterness.

Bottle. Looks and smells like Yuengling. Bright white head. Bit musty-dusty. First taste is bizarre. I’ve been in a rut of not taking chances on unfamiliar brands, so it’s been a while since I got this kind of bad surprise. I think Yuengling has more flavor. It was an unchilled single so maybe it was old or poorly cared for. It’s just bitter. That is the only thing I really taste, and even that’s not that distinct. It’s not awful. But it’s not good. Much later, after it’s warmed a bit, there is a faint IPA-ness.

Bottle. Golden pour with small aroma . IPA? really not too hoppy. Decently easy to drink but eh beer is not too good.
