Pours clear orange with a small, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, cereal, meal), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of apple and pear. Light bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. blipp (1679), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Malty sweet aroma with a hint of hops. The flavor is relatively well balanced with sweet malts and nowhere near enough hops for an IPA. Disappointing. Ibrew2or3 (2761), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Pours deep gold with copper core and thin off white head. The aroma is modestly malty with a faint sense of citrus hops in the background. The taste has an initial pulse of bitterness followed by some modest sweet malts tempering the hops. Smooth even flavor with citrus hops and a bit of grapefruit and grainy malts poking out from time to time. Good brew but comes up short on hops for the style. Pretty nice pale or amber ale. zach8270 (2110), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2009 (bottle - 12 oz) Light gold in color with a puffy white head. Aroma is earthy with some slight hops, fruits, and flowers. Flavor isn’t very floral and peppery at the beginning, but there are a lot of hops present. Some apples and pears at the start and then the hops hit. Smooth and floral with some pepper near the end. Smooth and refreshing and leaves a light bitter flavor on the palate. Pretty nice. markwise (1186), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Thanks retorp for the share. Pours clear yellow with an off-white head. Nose is tart citrus, malt, and grass. Flavor is much the same with no surprises or secrets. Did not care for this one. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Bottle, courtesy Retorp. Bronzen yellow pour, no head, and minimal lacing. Slight bitter nose, some biscuit. Flavor has a slight bitter haze, with hay and corny grain. Medium-bodied, stick, and nothing remotely close to an IPA. Not even an English IPA. jah noth (1017), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Funky English hop aroma sits above a light golden ale. Frothy head is quickly gone. Watery texture gives way to a grassy, fuggles infested IPA. Slight caramel, mild apple and pear, malty with lots of resin. Lingering pleasant hops. All English all the way. F me, I like this. it’s not a citric bomb, but it is a quaffer, and tasty. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy
