On tap at brewery. Very nice copper color, unfiltered. Delicious banana aroma. Taste of banana is in background, not overpowering. Well balanced with no after taste.

The 2008 version is excellent! Had fresh at the brewery. One word- delcious! I’m not a big Belgian White beer fan but this is a great one. Great golden-orange color. Nose is tempting with hints of banana. Palate is smooth, almost creamy. Can’t wait for more.

sampled on tap at the brewery. Nice cloudy golden appearance with a medium head. Aroma: fruity esters/bananas, spices, sweet malts. Taste is estery and spicy, light bodied, bready, lightly doughy, with a light spicy finish. nice session style belgian ale.

On tap at Mad Mex in West Philly; called Jersey Breakfast Ale. Hazy orange brown with a slight white head. Light yeast and lemon. Zingy but subdued carb, medium light. Taste is pear, touch of banana and Belgian yeast. Some malt with lemon peel drying. A little chalky but tasty and refreshing.

Draft from brewery. Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma of fruit, spices, sugar. The flavor is banana-like, sweet, spices, yeast. Good brew.

Pours deep gold with thin white head. The aroma is grainy, honey and floral hops. The taste is the same as the aroma with some malt graininess, honey and floral hops notes to go along with the addition of a modest and welcome level of roastiness.

20070730 Growler thanks to hophead75. Well, I wasn’t going to take notes on this stuff but since I just drank a half gallon of it, it seems only right to log my thoughts. Still happily carbonated after a few weeks in the fridge, this stuff is golden amber with a fine beige head. Aroma is mildly fruity with obvious Belgian yeast esters and some graininess. Body is thin but pillowy, still nicely carbonated, lingers with some sweet fruits and coating vegetal hint. Flavors overall are simple and sessionable and really hit the spot tonight. Generally mild and probably a notch better fresh off tap at the brewery. Thanks, Andrew, for sharing this Cricket Hill brew that was definitely worth trying.

Situation: Near completion of degrassing the swingset, after a trip to the pool and the first paint coat settling downstairs... a busy day! Glassware: Affligem chalice Appearance: dark orange body with a soft bubbly white head that thins quickly... Aroma: light, almost absent of scents--I am surprised by the lack of anything save the high fruit... Palate: light, thin and slightly fizzy--acidic and rather smooth--easy drinking... Taste: a bit sour and puckerish, approaching a Rodenbach... hints of lemony wheat and citric orange with late soft hops... Overall: clean from start to finish, pleasant--and still trying to igure out the "breakfast" element of this beer...maybe I’ll know in the morning...
