Nov 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a fluffy tan head and some nice lace. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, coconut, molasses, roasted malts, and toast. Flavor is Cocoa beans, vanilla, roasted coffee and cream. This is great. Tons of flavor for how low the abv is. A phenomenal session beer.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090806]

Aroma is light roasted malts with leather and tobacco notes as well as some mocha notes. Taste is roasty and nutty with notes of leather, tobacco, bitter coffee and dark chocolate in the finish. Medium bodied. Quite smooth.

Sep 25, 2009 Bottle - Very dark brown with a tan head. Malty and chocolatey aroma with a faint hint of coffee and leather. Chocolatey taste with roasted malt, cocoa and coffee. Nice and smooth and easy to drink, but it feels a bit watery in places. Having said that, it’s really enjoyable.
