Sep 20, 2009 A little more apple flavor and aroma than the Brut. A little sweeter. Clear again. Simple, but drinkable. Refreshing.

Sep 19, 2009 Hmmm... On tap, hold the ice. I guess I got the original version? Pours hazy pale straw with a frothy white head. Strangely pale, I wonder how/why they do that. Aroma of tart apples and apple skins. Lightly tart taste of apples, but not so much of apple cider. I really do wonder what they’re doing here.

Jun 21, 2009 Incredibly clear, candied red delicious aroma. Strong carbonation. Didn’t serve it over ice because I’m a loose cannon. One small part metal, one small part zima, one small part liquid sugar and the rest is syrupy water and nothing. Borderline rhetorical.

Jun 11, 2009 Pours almost water clear with a fair bit of carbonation and not much head. Aroma is sweet jolly rancher apple candy. I have no idea why they suggest serving this over ice. The flavor is already so mild that diluting it would make it akin to drinking tap water. Unimpressive cider to say th least.

Jun 9, 2009 Color is faint yellow and nearly clear with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is of sour apples. Initial taste is very sweet but finishes sour and dry. Light to medium carbonation and body. Interesting contrast between the sweet and sour of the apple flavor, overall it finishes too sour and dry to truly appreciate.

Feb 24, 2009 A lighter shade of pale yellow. A few white bubbles that dissipate rather quickly. A few bubbles rising up. Scents of old apples and malt liquor alcohol. Not good for something only 5%. Very sweet start. Thin apple juice concentrate flavors. Sweet white grapes and a touch of must. Some saki flavors also creep in. Bit of apple skin in the finish and linger. Didn’t try it over ice, but I don’t believe it would hurt.

Jan 24, 2009 Purchased a single 12-oz bottle at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in Shorewood, MN and shared with bluesea. Pours a clear straw cider with very little carbonation bubbles and a clean disk top. Aroma has very little apple but more pear character with some mild yeast. Taste is light bodied, some soft carbonation, with flavors of pear/apple juice with a hint of yeast. Finish is crisp but little apple presence and a hint of white pepper.
