Orangy-red, brief fizzy head. Acidic, almost cidery, and acetone (nail-varnish) aroma. Once you’ve fought past that, there’s some sour cherries. Really crisp carbonation, sharp and acidic. Not all that puckering though, compared with what I expected from other people’s reviews. Beautiful oaky woody body. Really quite sharp, but also quite mellow. Cherry can’t really make its presence felt in the taste. Finish is heady with the acetone and woody phenols, and completely devoid of alcohol. One of the few sour ales to actually be sour enough to keep me happy - it’s right alongside, or even ahead of, Rodenbach. Storming!

Sep 23, 2008 bottle at ealing bf 08. aroma of sweet liquorice, honey and cherry liqueur. red amber, thin white rim. crazy sweet to start with, lovely nail varnish in the front, middle and then a well strong sour blast at the end. lovely. i can feel it eat through my stomach lining but i really love it.

Aug 10, 2008 Bottle at Ealing beer fest. Aroma is wow, soo sour and acidic, vinigar notes. Taste is also very acidic infact the most acidic beer iv ever had, sourness is not balanced by cherrys as id expect it to be. Still a nice experiance but more cherry and less acidic.

Jul 29, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a clear amber-orange body with a small white head. Aroma of cherry, balsamic vinegar, earthiness, funky, mustiness, leather, and nail polish remover. Flavor is sweet cherry, subtle wood, some vinous, and sugary.

Jul 10, 2008 bottle thanks to bu11zeye. very light amber pour with a ring of white froth. slight tartness with some nice esters on the nose and nail polish remover. awesome flavor of sour cherries that finishes with a tartness that bites.

Jun 22, 2008 Clear red coloured beer with small white head and few carbonantion. Sour fruity (cherry) aroma (it reminds me to the smell of a just opened pot of paint). Sour full little sprankling palate. Sour taste finishing off more fruity.
