Bottled. Hazy pinkish in colour with a medium sized head. Sourish cherreis with notes of malty sweetness and citrus.

Bottle. A touch stale in the aroma and also in the mouthfeel. Some very light tart, sour cherry in the finish. Feels a bit flat though and lacks that extra something.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Pale rose colour, with a soft pink head. Aroma is gentle, but nice: cherry, slighty oaky. Flavour is disappointing: weak, watery, too fizzy. Only a slight cherry, in a Perrier stylee. Just not enough flavour, especially for the abv. Something almost malty on the finish.

Clear deep red color, small white (reddish) head. Aroma is sour milk with hints of cherry. Light but harsh kriek. Very unbalanced cherry-flavoured beer. Sour in unbalanced way, not my cup ot tea.

(Bottled) Almost clear, cherry red color with a smallish, pinkish head. Slightly sour aroma with cherry and other berries. Sourish cherry flavor with wheaty malt. Quite natural cherries in the flavor. Medium-bodied, smooth-carbonated palate. A balanced kriek-flavored ale, not spoiled with sweetness. Nice...

doesn’t live up to my expectations. woody, tart cherries, sherry nose. taste: sourrish, woody, citric lactic acid, tart cherries. finish is short and tart. looks great, copper with a small creamy off-white head. just a bit dull and flat.

Ruby red with marvellous orange shines and a beige quickly vanishing head. Aroma is immediately a bit metallic, then it turns to red fruits, tart cherries and hints of Porto. Maybe a vintage bottle but no date and no alcohol content were listed upon the label. Very pleasant in the mouth, complex and hints of Porto again. Easily drinkable and interesting.

Slightly hazy, pinkish-orange body with a fizzy, quickly diminishing head. Interesting aroma of tart cherries, fresh dough, oaky wood, some residual sweetness, hay, moderate acidity, brett and a touch of toasted bread. The body is a little thin and the finish is a little short. The flavors are a bit disappointing, starting quite sweet and becoming a bit tart near the end. The funky, bretty, yeasty goodness hinted at in the nose drops off in the flavor and doesn’t seem to shoe up. This isn’t terrible, but doesn’t live up to it’s potential. Probably more drinkable than most sour beers, making it more of a session-style sour, but in these styles I want more sour and more funk!
