I like the bready caramel malt flavor. Low carbonation tickles the tongue. A very good bitter. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

Such a tasty treat...incredible balance and easily drinkable for being so rich. grant (792), Long Beach, CA/Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 6, 2003 Damn fine brew this is. Toffee and caramel aromas dominate the aroma. Thick and turbid, this brew coats your mouth and glides down your throat. Hops are very much present, but mostly in flavor, not in bitterness. Very well done. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

Sweet malt and hops in the nose.
Malty in the beginning with a nice hop finish. Not too much bite though. Nicely balanced.
Well carbonated which may carry off some of the more subtle hop flavors and/or aromas.
