| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Clear copper/amber color with a bit of head. Strong caramel taste and a bit of that unique flavor that you can only really find in an amber ale. From other descriptions I would have to conclude that it is a mix of raisin, honey and gingersnap, however I would not have put that together by myself as this beer, and indeed all well done amber ales, have a very unique flavor. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2007 Updated: Jun 7, 2008This is supposedly brewed with barley from England’s notorious "crop circle" fields. Cool label that suggests both medieval and space age mystery. Dark with a foamy head. Rich flavor that is close to being a stout - coffee, roasted grains, spices, and sweet malt. You can definitely taste the alien influence - no doubt the exhaust from their flying saucers found its way into this brew. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Bottle: Amber pour with a bubbly tan fading head. Spicy/sweet malt aroma, with some fruity hints. Raisins, cinnamon, light gingerbread, decent aroma. More aromatic than flavorful. The body is slightly watery, but has a decent malt flavor. Roasty upfront with light gingersnap cookie hints & subtle dark fruits. Finish is roasted and has a mild spicy bitterness. A decent Amber Ale. Skinnyviking (4170), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bottle. High white creamy and lasting head. Clear yellow body. Barley malt aroma. Sweet, smooth and mild barley malt flavor without much hops bitterness, carbonation or aftertaste. The malt aftertaste is there but generally this beer will soon be forgotten. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Brown with a thick light beige head. Aroma of honey, toasted malt, and a wisp of floral hops. Also fruitiness on the nose, which was hard to pin down, but I settled on blueberry as the closest description. Flavor is mildly nutty, roasty even, with some woodsiness and a dusting of cocoa in the finish. Hops were moderate, keeping the focus on the deep maltiness. I thought this was quite good. I had absolutely no idea this weighed in at almost 7% ABV, the alcohol is fabulously well hidden. WeeHeavySD (3016), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
