Rob_Bestwick (555), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Jul 3, 2003 This beer is based on a beer made to commemorate the North Yorkshire Moors railway - there were two other similar brews made but which were only available from the railway and I believe are now no longer available. This beer has a nutty and fruity aroma, is dark and opaque copper in colour, has a very fruity character in which strawberries and cherries are the most dominant flavours, low carbonation with a slightly bitter hoppy finish. This is a flavoursome beer. rauchbier (2874), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Sep 2, 2002 Bottle conditioned. Red brown colour. Way too much condition, gushing out of the bottle for a good five minutes. Foam tasted hoppy, aroma dominated by co2 and sweet malt. Malty sweet body with hints of smokey caramel and a syrupy finish with a hint of hop bitterness.
