London Drinker 25: Though it is pale and weak looking with a flea-bitten head it really packs a punch. Big pink grapefruit with sweet satsumas assault the nose with their crisp acidity. The big flavours balance perfectly in the mouth. Light barnyard flavours with hearty cereals and those fruity hops once more all fighting for your attention. A tingly brew with a refreshing finish. Very nice and expertly brewed. Bottle: It loses some of the intensity here but the delightful pink grapefruit is still great and gives it such a refreshing bite.

Bottle 500ml. Off gold with a slight haze. Extremely easy to drink with a low carbonation. Juicy hops prevail, slight malt flavours. A good translation of what is an excellent cask beer.

Hazy amber coloured beer. Very attractive in glass with nice white head. Aroma is mainly hops with a little citrus. Flavour is much the same really with added cruity flavours. Exceptionally smooth and very easy to drink. A very pretty beer in all respects.

[bottle] Hazy, pale golden colour with a short foamy white layer. Hoppy, slightly citrus-fruity and piney aroma. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Hops accented taste, slightly woody with notes of citrus and pineapples, dry mouthfeel, moderately bitter finish with an aromatic hoppy blend [22.XII.08].

Bottle. Hazy, golden, loose and lacy white head. solid aromatic-hoppy, almost piney nose. Moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied. Lingering solid bitter-sweet finish with a good touch of pineapple. Fine stuff........

Served by hand-pumped cask at the Wenlock Arms in northern London. Pours a pale golden orange color with white foam head the forms into very slight lacing. Aroma consists mainly of citrus and earthy hop notes. This is a very crisp and quaffable ale. Citrus and earthy hops balanced by slight malt backbone. Very refreshing. I wish there were more places that sold real ale in the states.

Cask @ Blackfriars. This beer is tasty stuff. A golden beer with small froathy head. It has a nice citrus fruit aroma, slight grapefruit and pine with floarl hop character. Flavour is similar with a sweet biscuity malt background ending with a sharp dry bitter finish. Very drinkable and packed full of flavour for its percentage. A winner from Crouch Vale

Cask@Burton Summer Beer Festival, 2008. Golden beer with a lightly hopped aroma , and a lightly hopped and floral flavour. Overall a nicely hopped and dry beer.
