Cask conditioned - handpump - Leicester Gateway - Leicester. A hazy reddy brown coloured beer with some nice white lace. The aroma is reasonably fruity but didn’t seem very fresh. The taste is fruity and Autumnal. Red berries and malt. Could be fresher but not awful.

Cask Handpump at the Marble Arch Inn, Manchester 02/11/2002 Golden coloured with sour fruit flavours. Some dryness in a lasting hop finish.

Cask, Nottingham Fest 05. Dark amber with no head. Aromas are toffee malts with fruit and spices. Hints of pine, also. Flavours are burnt toffee malts, fruity with some smokiness. Dry on the finish. Easy to drink. Probably not in the best of condition - I found it to have a kit homebrew character.

Cask@Nottingham Beer Festival. Brown beer with a malty and slightly dry aroma, and a dry, nicely hopped and creamy flavour. Overall a pretty good beer.

Cask. Woody aroma. Dark chestnut brown colour. Bitter - malty - sweet - salty - then bitter again.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Deep nutty brown colour, frothy white head. Nutty malts are well balance with bitterness. The beer has structure and purpose and is presented to the palate, evenly and smoothly. Lovely drop.

Fresh at The Swan, Horndon On The Hill, Essex. A wonderful 400 year old coaching inn. Clean and tidy, yet buzzing with atmosphere and conversation and card games. Beer is beautifully served. An excellent English pub.
Lovely deep scarlet colour with a slightly frothy head ring - assorted bubbles. Looks very nice just sitting there in the glass. Drink me, it murmurs. And it's a gorgeous drop - good, firm, nutty body - delicate sticky sweetness - some dark roasty notes in the finish. An absolute dream of an English beer in an absolute dream of an English pub.

An amber beer with a great head. It has a very hoppy aroma. The flavor is cask flat with a lot of great hoppy bitterness. A really great beer.
