A bright, golden yellow coloured beer with a thick white head. A light citrus fruit nose with hops and lemon, with a tiny hint of malt. The taste is dry and bitter, lemon and hop flavours again, then a smooth biscuity malt taste to finish. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

Hazy blond color. Very nice hoppy aroma, herbal and hearthy. Smooth, quite good, malty, very good hopping. Perfumy. Excellent, as usual.

On cask at The Devonshire Cat, sheffield. Powerful hoppy nose with masses of citrus. Light blonde hue with a small foamy head. Highly hopped taste with bags of citrus fruits and hints of flora with a bitter bite in the finish.

Cask at the Queens Head Chelmsford. Pale with thin white head, crystal clear. Subtle citrus winegum flavours, alcoholic. Not that bitter. The name is misleading not like an Essex girl.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Pale golden colour, frothy white head. Big juicy hop aroma. Big and clean and something that I could easily recommend to my American cousins without apprehension. Good length on the palate. Complex fruity, hoppy flavour.
