Smells of earth, tea, some citrus. Tastes earthy and bitter with a mild bitter finish. Decent, but a bit subdued for an IPA. astrofrk (219), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 30, 2008 GABF 2008. At the festival, this was designated ’’London’s Best’’ on the card at the table. I’m really surprised to see it listed as an IPA here, since I was under the impression it was meant to be a brown ale of sorts. Maybe this rating should be for a new brew by this brewery, but I am not confident enough to enter a new beer without being certain so I will post my impressions here anyway. From my notes: Dirty dark amber brown, thin vanilla head. Low cola and vegetal aroma. Toffee malt, weird marzipan note, thin. Overall an awkward beer (and now having seen its designation as an IPA, even more so!). Tmoney99 (4777), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2008 Draft at Crown & Goose. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Draft at the Crown & Goose during half price pints and half price fish and chips Mondays. Semi hazy brownish orange color with a slight white head, no retention but some lacing (looked identical to the Bitter to me so I copied the description). Some floral, fragrant almost soapy hop aromas amongst sweet toasty malts. More malt sweetness and some breadiness with a piney hop finish. Suttree (2740), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Slightly cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is big on the bready, toasty notes, with just a whiff of hops. Its definately a maltier version of the style, with a lot of toasty, bready flavors on top of a subtle, herbal hop note. decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 19, 2008 On tap. Pours a hazy golden pour with a white head. Light citrus aroma that was there through the mix of food aromas. Flavor is pretty solid with a light fruitiness that is followed by a decent bitter finish. Carbonation is solid but it is just a tad lacking in body. My favorite at this place. Nice to have a local made IPA in a resturant.
