Aroma of malt, sweet notes of spice and little citrus. Lacing remains pretty well throughout. Light to medium bodied with nice malt influence. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Pours clear light amber / copper with an off-white head. The aroma has nice clean toasted malt, some hazelnut and light smooth sweetness. Medium lightly abrasive body with lighter than normal carbonation. The flavor starts with toasted malt that’s on the watery side - fairly dry with a touch of caramel. The finish is very dry and thin as well as being a touch papery with light fruit esters. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Pours golden amber with a small head and moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet, notes of rye and black pepper. Flavor is somewhat lacking, easy bready malts, some mild hop peppering, a strong bitter note that’s not very smooth or balanced, and a somewhat stale note, maybe the result of this example being light struck or in otherwise less than stellar condition. Needs a bit more focus to be above average. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 23, 2009 Pour is a amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts. Flavor is some biscuit malts with very little hop profile. This is the first time i have seen this local brewer in the stores around here and I’ll have to try the others but this beer is average at best.
