Beerlando (1271), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 19, 2007 In the interest of fairness, I found this bottle in the back of my sister’s refrigerator. My brother-in-law said: "Oh, I didn’t know that was still in there. That’s been there for a long time." That said, the appearance is a hazy light gold with absolutely no head or lacing. The aroma is very sweet and floral, with honey, corn syrup, and apple juice all making an appearance in the nose. Despite a semi-decent aroma, however, the flavor just falls flat. I mostly got honey and stale tasting malts with absolutely no hops. The body is like watered down syrup. Strange brew. Mad_Indian (797), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2006 Going off memory on this one.(Probally 2 years ago) I remember it being a golden our and not much body at all. Tasted light a watery beer. I am not sure if they still make this. zach8270 (1407), Henrietta, New York, USA Jun 15, 2004 Updated: Jul 15, 2004(bottle) Pours a pale gold color with a very thin and fizzy white head. Had your standard lager smell... a nice balance of hops and malt. Nothing to write home about but nothing to turn up your nose at either. Dry and crisp taste mainly of malt with a slight hoppy finish. A bit watery, but I guess it’s to be expected from a light beer. I have to say on a personal note that as a Three Stooges fan, you can’t beat the bottle. joefunk99 (4), Richland, Indiana, USA does not count Nov 5, 2001 For my money, the best stooge is still Shemp. PhillyBeer2112 (1842), Orange Park, Florida, USA Sep 20, 2000 Updated: May 26, 2006I didn’t expect much from this beer, given
the mediocre reviews of Panther’s other
3 Stooges inspired beer (which I haven’t tasted).
But this was quite good. A well-balanced
light yellow lager - a balance that leads me
to consider it as a Dortmunder, possibly.
Clean hop presence, light to medium bodied.
A great choice if light lagers are your thing. P.S. This rating dates back to when the beer was contracted at the Lion Brewery in PA. I had it on good authority at the time that it was actually all-malt. Have not tried the Matt brewing version.
