natejgood (142), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 6, 2008 I just returned from Peru and had a number of these on my trip. It doesn’t have a lot of flavor or body, but is easy enough to drink. It is rather booring to drunk, but other than that I have no real complaints.
Bungalo22 (317), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Oct 30, 2008 Had from the bottle that was purchased in Monterrey, Mexico. It pours a clear yellow with a nice fluffy head. It smells of corn and malt with a slight hint of hops. It is smooth but earthy and malty and not generally pleasing. I imagine on a hot day it would be OK. tgncc (325), Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 26, 2008 The bottle I got from the store was much cooler than the one pictured on the right. The aroma is standard for the type: a mix of malts, hops, grass, adjuncts. Common straw color with white head, strong carbonation. Flavor is corn, sweet malts, salt, cereal, light hops. The finish has a light hoppiness which is reasonably ok. Somewhat salty throughout. (Must be the water they use). In a disparaged beer category, this one is not bad for the type. lithilorn (121), Covilhã, Portugal Oct 25, 2008 pale gold body and white head. grainy and herbs aroma. sweet and little salty in the flavor. watery and refraishing. Not bad for a south-american beer. oldrtybastrd (1793), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Oct 20, 2008 Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a medium golden yellow color. Aromas of hops, grains, and a touch of something fruity. Flavor has a nice hop action going for it, with a cheerios like taste. Fukito (600), Buenos Aires, Argentina Oct 16, 2008 Can, october 08. Clear, golden color with fizzy carbonatation and a small, disappearing white head. Flavor is not that ba for a pale lager. Chilled, but with an almost perceptible malt backbone and decent bittersweetness. A bit of skunk and a salty finish. Aroma is a bit of skunk and the faintest touch of herbal hopiness. Palate is a little bit fuller than most pale lagers, firm too. Almost a bit of flavor while remaining refreshing. King among leppers.
