750 ml bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of sour citrus, white grapes, straw and light barnyard funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of straw, sour citrus, light barnyard funk and light leather with a crisp dry tart lingering finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Very spicy Bretty nose. Medium body, fairly tart with lots of barnyard and horse blanket. Marvellous Brett accents. Fairly sour finish. Yummy. 110909

75cl bottle. Hazy dark gold-orange color with a medium head. Sour, lemony aroma with some bretty funk. The flavor is sour and dry, but not quite lambic-sour. The is also a moderate crackery malt flavor and some bitterness in the finish that hints at a regular ale. Actually pretty malty for a sour, barring some sweeter flanders reds. Light in body with prickly carbonation. I like the brett flavors that the lambic brings, and the maliter and hoppier flavors of the regular ale blend pretty well to make an interesting and tasty beer, even if it seems a bit confused.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate lemon tartness, oranges, and musty basement. It pours a hazy golden-orange with a moderate creamy white head that lasts a minute or so and leaves sporadic clumpy sheets of lacing. The flavor starts with some mild citrus notes and then quickly turns to a moderate lemony/lambic tartness in the finish with a hint of must and wood. The lambic qualities are really dominant. A virtually perfect combination of sourness and drinkability (I hate to use this word now that Bud has made it a slogan, but I don’t know how else to explain it). Medium bodied with mild carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. It really comes a across like a lambic with a more full and soft mouthfeel. Definitely the best mouthfeel I’ve had in a Sour Ale. Maybe this is a hit or miss when it comes to bottling. I’m really shocked at the scores in the low 3’s by people who like sour beers. I didn’t rate this the first time a few weeks ago because I instantly knew I’d be buying another bottle, but I’m equally blown away a second time by this beer.

Incredible sour beer. Woody, basalmic, acetic, lovely light spice accents. Body is medium, slightly clingy. So drinkable. Peach skin dryness!

Now this is really good. While not being too complex it has a lot of sourness and rich dark fruit and molasses. Full body and a bit acidic and prickly.

(Rating #2597)

750 mL bottle courtesy of Proteus93. Thanks! Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Beautiful aroma with notes of yeast, caramel, plums, berries, light funk and a finish of peppery spice. Taste is quite funky with notes of tart citrus, oak, peppery spice notes and something slightly herbal. Medium bodied. Quite nice.
